giclées

Giclée  (zhee clay) A new process using advanced technology to create a lustrous, continuous-tone digital print that meets or exceeds the quality of traditional ligthography and screen printing. Organic, water-based multi-color inks are applied to the surface of archival papers or canvas from tiny jets one-tenth the diameter of a human hair. The ink-jet printer produces over four million droplets of ink, each second, that combine to form more than two thousand shades of color. The computer's information is scanned directly from the artist's original work. Unlike other printing methods, each image is sent to the printer individually.  It is an exact reproduction. I oversee and match the giclee with my original pieces.  All are archival reproductions.
