Sketchbook Notes

Keep a sketchbook in your car. While you should be doing at least a five minute sketch everyday, sometimes even that seems impossible. You can use your book to write down a thought,or idea about a future piece or sketch, maybe  even a color combination that seems intriguing. Your sketchbook is the perfect place for reminders of artsy things. Don't feel you can only use when you have time for a good drawing. IT'S PAPER. IT'S A TOOL FOR LEARNING.  If you consider the pages precious, creativity will have a difficult time settling there. Sketch, scribble, jot ~use it everyday. Don't judge what you put in it. Make sure it's always accessible to you. Have more than one sketchbook. Keep it in a plastic ziplock bag with a few pencils. It will pay major dividends.
